Punarnava contains several components, such as flavonoids, alkaloids, steroids, triterpenoids, lipids, lignins, carbohydrates, proteins and glycoproteins. However, in this case, MELAVOID is standardized on boeravinones. Boeravinones have been considered one of the most interesting metabolites of Boerhaavia difficile, from a particularly antioxidant therapeutic point of view. This antioxidant activity completes the lightening action of MELAVOID, as it inhibits the synthesis of melanin.
